This workshop is all about the history and culture of the Fest Noz. These breton dance events have stood the test of time and are still going strong. In this workshop we'll look at video's and images collected in the past to get a better understanding on how we got to the point we are now. We will look at the history of An-dro, Gavotte, Laridé and more to see how they came to be and how (Bal)Folk influenced these dances. This workshop will be about more than just dancing. Expect to get a nice taste of culture while also be involved in some singing as well (no french knowledge required).

Teachers: Leo Visser

Duration: 2-3 Hours

Requirements: Preferbly a screen or projector to show images/videos on, but could also be done with laptop screen.

Prerequisites for participants: This workshop is less interesting for new people. It’s better if you’ve been dancing for a while.
